A meditation on letting go, built as a black sphere dissolving into light.
Portals. Dissolution of Duality was created in collaboration with artist Mario Rodríguez, Studio Mareo, as the closing piece for his exhibition PORTALS at LOAD Gallery, Barcelona.
At its center, a black sphere. Ego, density, illusion, slowly dissolving into a luminous plane of water. A metaphor for release: letting go of self-image, of resistance, arriving at something quieter underneath.
Mario connected with an earlier animation by María, and the piece grew from there, refined together in movement, timing, palette and tone. Monochrome, symmetrical, slow. Shown on a three-meter vertical screen, a portal not just for the viewer, but for the self.
